Through the Ministry of Social Development, Kerilyn was offered the chance to complete a certificate in Introductory River Enhancement (Applied) through hands-on work and study modules with PRC, creating both work experience and a career pathway on completion of the qualification.

Currently, PRC employs around 45 staff, many of whom are now experienced horticulture and river enhancement project workers. PRC has a proven work delivery model for large scale native tree propagation and planting projects with the goal of supplying 1 million native trees to other community projects anually. To date, PRC have grown and planted over 1.4 million trees within the Waipā, King Country and Waikato regions. While also bringing in local contractors for fencing off the waterways. to-date, over 70kms of fencing has been completed to date.
